Şamil Tayyar reveals the name of the AKP's new 'opening' process: A different concept

Tayyar, who often emerges with an identity that criticizes the steps taken by his former party through his social media posts, answered questions about the agenda during a live broadcast on Halk TV. Tayyar made statements regarding the process from Bahçeli's remarks on Öcalan to President Erdoğan's potential re-election.

STATEMENTS MADE BY MEHMET UÇUM...

Since I have had posts about Mehmet Uçum, let there not be a prejudice against him, but he has some comments and evaluations; after all, he is a chief advisor and a technical name, in general terms, a civil servant...

It is not very appropriate for a person serving as a civil servant in the Presidential Complex to come out and act like a boss. If friends from the party expressed this, it could be evaluated as their own opinion, but sometimes he makes definitive statements; with the expressions he uses, he is practically acting like a boss. There is only one person in the AKP who can act like a boss, and that is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; other than him, no one in the party should have the will to do this.

The leader of the party is the President; he can act like a boss or take a stance within the party, but a civil servant should not do this; it does not seem right!

HOW BAHÇELİ'S STATEMENTS WERE RECEIVED BY ERDOĞAN AND THE AKP FRONT

It would not be very appropriate for me to say this; our President expresses his own feelings, because I also have a party identity, so let me skip your question.

But for the remaining names, from the highest-ranking official in the party to the lowest, everyone learned this from television, including the ministers...

Within the MHP, there were perhaps very few people who had prior knowledge; everyone tried to understand what was happening. In such periods, because I have a background in journalism, everyone called each other and asked what was going on.

Frankly, let me say this: everyone within the AKP tried to understand what was happening. There were those who called the President to understand the situation.

If this were a state project, the MHP and AKP would be at full strength to explain and defend it; if it were a state project, everyone would need to be informed.

REGARDING BAHÇELİ'S OCTOBER 29 STATEMENT

Bahçeli's statement on the occasion of October 29 that 'the country does not have a Kurdish problem, it has a PKK problem' seemed to me like a reaction against the DEM Party; this is my opinion... The DEM Party did not support Bahçeli's statement; he might be angry about this, of course, this is my interpretation; perhaps he might have a slight grievance. I took a risk by explaining this, but he might have thought that a very strong support did not come.

He might want to see the AKP's stance on this issue.

ERDOĞAN'S WORDS AFTER THE CABINET MEETING

After the cabinet meeting, Erdoğan used expressions to the effect of, 'We have thrown the message given by the PKK into the trash; there cannot be a message we receive from terror leaders.' Could this be a message to İmralı?

This could be a message given to the 'big boss.' It is obvious that the PKK is being patronized by America; it is an organization that receives support from many countries, and Erdoğan's message seems like a message given to these countries as well.

IS THE 'OPENING' AND CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT A STEP TAKEN BY ERDOĞAN TO BE RE-ELECTED?

Our President's intention with the new constitution is not the thought that a path for his re-election will be opened... The AKP is revealing an intention here to make a more concise, simpler constitution that is purified from the military mentality.

Since there is a long time until the election and it is right after the recently concluded elections, I do not think that our President's idea of running again has matured. I am not sure that he is within a design for years later.

If our President decides to run again, he will do this not by developing a relationship with the DEM, but by talking about this issue with the CHP. I think he will go the way of an agreement with them, and I think the CHP also leaves an open door on this issue.

When an early election proposal comes from the opposition, I do not think they will easily escape from it. An early election proposal could come in 2027; I mean, when an early election proposal comes, can the CHP escape from it?

Perhaps a proposal that the CHP cannot say no to might come; when it is said, 'Let's return to the parliamentary system,' I believe the CHP will also say yes to this...

Mr. Bahçeli supports this system today, but I think that under the conditions of that day, this could come to the agenda.

If our President wants to run again, I think he will advance this issue with the CHP.

DOES THE AKP HAVE ANOTHER CANDIDATE?

Extraordinary conditions produce their own solutions; if such a situation is experienced, the AKP will bring out a candidate from within, but right now, while our President's name is mentioned, such a topic is not discussed.

My heart is in favor of our President running again...

CHANGE IN THE AKP

We do not know for now how this process will progress; I define the name of the new project as 'Terror-Free Turkey.' Our President is also progressing within the framework of this definition with the statements he has made. I do not find it correct to evaluate this as a process that has been tried before and has not reached a result. This is a different concept from the previous ones...

There is a loss of altitude in the AKP, but the CHP is also not emerging as a hope. The voter is observing both parties; if the public cannot find what they hope for in these two parties, perhaps a very fragmented political environment will be born...

We are not going through a process where one is far ahead of the other; there is a loss of altitude in the AKP, but the CHP is also spinning its wheels. So far, no significant change has occurred on the AKP front, but that does not mean it will not happen!

The AKP has been experiencing serious stagnation in recent years, and there is a decrease in its votes; the vote rate has fallen below 30s today. In this regard, a return to the founding values can be made.

Trustee appointments were supposed to be made according to court decisions, but a large number of trustees were appointed. Recently, a step back has been taken on this issue. The court decision should be awaited...

The issue of interviews; thousands of young people want this to be abolished, and we desire this too. The elimination of a young person who gets 90 points should be everyone's problem; when it happens like this, the trust and belief of young people in you decreases.

A big mistake was made regarding not abolishing it. When Erdoğan said, 'This will be abolished,' nothing should have been said about it, but in the end, he was persuaded somehow.

Young people are inquisitive, and we could not get into their state of mind; we thought we could win their hearts by arranging their physical conditions, but it did not happen like that; one needs to understand the world of young people.

There is no cost to abolishing the interview, but the bureaucratic segment satisfies its ego or provides jobs for three or five men next to them; if you offend the feelings of society because you will do this, there may be a political cost to it.

The bond of affection between us and Kurdish citizens has almost broken, whereas we did great things that would make their lives easier.

THE DEMİRTAŞ ISSUE

There were very heavy, vile posts directed at Selahattin Demirtaş's wife; I reacted to this, and the Minister of Justice of the period also reacted. On that day, tweets were posted from accounts close to the AKP about me, and they portrayed it as if I had committed treason.

İMAMOĞLU AND THE COURT PROCESS

The race to be held with Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu should be at the ballot box, not with such court decisions; as a result, our President also experienced similar problems.

NEWBORN GANG AND THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

We can say that we are having difficulty in managing the crisis. The health system was one of the issues we proudly talked about and found serious response to when we went to the field, but what has been experienced recently overshadows the positive steps we have taken; this needs to be corrected.

When going to private hospitals, very high amounts come out even for the slightest illness; it is certain that there is a problem in the balance there...

The issue of public order is the explosion of a bundle of accumulated problems; there are many sources feeding it: digital problems, distorted urbanization, refugees; problems have accumulated and exploded; this is not a simple public order issue...

Finally, I would like to say this: the news that there was a demand for a guarantor country from Öcalan is not true! Such an expression did not pass in the meeting Öcalan had with Ömer Öcalan.
