Saudi Arabia approves visa exemption for Turkey: Covers diplomatic and special passport holders
The Saudi Arabian Council of Ministers has approved the agreement providing mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and special passports between Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has officially approved the mutual visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic and special passports with Turkey. The decision was made during a meeting of the Saudi Arabian Council of Ministers.
According to the official Saudi news agency SPA, the Council of Ministers met in the capital, Riyadh, under the chairmanship of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During the meeting, the agreement regarding the mutual exemption of diplomatic and special passport holders from visa requirements between Turkey and Saudi Arabia was approved.
EXEMPTION FOR UP TO 90 DAYS
The agreement was signed following the Turkey-Saudi Arabia Coordination Council meeting held in Ankara on May 6, 2026. In Turkey, the process was completed after the Presidential Decree approving the agreement was previously published in the Official Gazette.
According to the decree published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the aforementioned passport holders will be exempt from visas for entry, transit, exit, and temporary stays in the other party's country, provided that the stay does not exceed 90 days within any 180-day period.
