Öztürk stated the following:

The grievances of both Democrat Party Deputy Chairmen Salih Uzun and Cemal Enginyurt have been evident for a long time. The Democrat Party's congress will be held on Sunday. Let me state that they have decided not to attend this congress. They will not take part in any board either. Perhaps a week after that, they will resign from their party.

I asked Mr. Cemal as well, and he said, "Yes, it is true." He said, "A congress decision is being made, we are not being informed, and we have notified that we will not take on duties in the boards; we have learned from others that the chairman is also pleased with this. Our ties with the party will also be severed."
