Mustafa Destici, Chairman of the Great Unity Party (BBP), a partner in the People's Alliance, has reacted harshly to credit card holders who do not want to pay the 750 TL annual contribution to the Defense Industry Support Fund. Supporting this contribution, which is planned to be collected from cardholders with a limit of 100,000 TL and above, Destici called on banks to cancel the cards of those who lower their limits from 100,000 TL to 99,000 TL.

While characterizing this situation as "those who create resistance to our defense industry," Destici accused those who avoid paying of defending the DEM Party, Greece, and Armenia. Emphasizing that the 750 TL annual burden is as simple as the price of a pack of cigarettes or a cup of tea, Destici became the focus of criticism with this statement, which drew significant public backlash.

On social media, this call, which was evaluated as "placing an additional burden on the public's pocket," was received negatively by many people.

Destici's stance was interpreted by opposition parties and social media users as an attempt to "further polarize society."
