USED INSULTING PHRASES

The imam used the following expressions in his speech:

-Such absurd things. If a Muslim remains silent, a person will do anything. It is because of our spinelessness, our silence. When we watch, they do as they please. You said you liked the athlete who is intelligent, agile, and moral.

-Is this how one becomes intelligent and moral? Is this morality? The Sultans of the Net… Look at the name, and they even became sultans. There is no such nonsense.

-This is how religion is gradually eroded, and faith is lost. You applaud what is forbidden. How nice. God has forbidden this; is there no other sport? Do sports. Do the sports the Prophet did. Wrestle, ride horses, shoot arrows, swim, swim in the sea, it is Sunnah. Of course, without showing your private parts.

-A headscarved football player, damn your football. Can there be a headscarved football player? She wrapped a piece of cloth around her head; that is not a headscarf. God does not say it like that. She put on tights underneath. Everything is on display.

-A headscarved woman appeared on the football fields. I saw it too, excuse me, tights down below, a piece of cloth on the head. Is this what God wants?

-Does He say play ball in front of the nation and show your body parts? God does not just say cover your hair, He says cover your body. He says cover your entire body. It is fixed by verse; if you oppose it, you become an infidel.

Theologian Cemil Kılıç reacted by sharing the video of the speech in question on his social media account.

Kılıç posted, “The SHARIA-IST imam of the Eminönü Timurtaş Mosque: Headscarved football players and the Sultans of the Net volleyball players are infidels who oppose God’s verses.”
