Scathing statement from Erdoğan's former speechwriter: 'You will get used to it, you will kneel'

Aydın Ünal, a former speechwriter for President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a former AKP deputy, and a columnist for Yeni Şafak, used harsh language in his latest article. Addressing the boycott debates in his piece titled "Not an inheritance, but sweat of the brow," Ünal emphasized the shifting balances in Turkey.

Stating that "TÜSİAD no longer has the power to orchestrate a coup, nor do England, France, the USA, or Israel have the strength to come to the 'rescue'," Ünal argued that privileged segments in Turkey have lost their former power.

"YOU WILL ACCEPT THE ANATOLIAN REVOLUTION"

Delivering sharp messages in his article, Ünal drew attention with the words: "All privileges are in the past. You will get used to the new situation, you will accept the Anatolian revolution, and you will kneel before the nation and the national will."

Evaluating the boycott calls that have been on the agenda recently, Ünal claimed that some segments have failed to adapt to the changing power balances in Turkey during this process.

Ünal wrote the following:

-Some people, with the legacy of the privileges their grandfathers and fathers obtained in the early period of the Republic, have sat upon the national will and the country's resources for decades and generations as a dynasty.

-The deep undercurrent, however, shook this dynasty and brought it to the point of collapse, and it did this solely through its own labor and the sweat of its brow.

-Anatolia has earned what it deserves through the sweat of its brow in education, science, politics, administration, academia, the intellectual field, and art; it has reached a point where it will shake Istanbul's throne in terms of capital, and has far, far surpassed those living off an inheritance.

-You know how they say 'you don't read,' 'you are ignorant' and so on; they are talking nonsense. The horse has long since crossed the Bosphorus. You know how they talk about a 'boycott'; capital has transformed, money has changed hands. Even if you don't consume for a thousand days, ten thousand days, not just one day, the markets, bazaars, shops, stores, and cafes will no longer feel your absence.

-TÜSİAD no longer has the power to orchestrate a coup, nor do England, France, the USA, or Israel have the strength to come to the 'rescue'.

-Even if you were to come to power, hypothetically, you would not be able to reverse a struggle kneaded with 100 years of patience.

-The old state is impossible. The era of living off an inheritance has ended. All privileges are in the past. You will get used to the new situation, you will accept the Anatolian revolution, and you will kneel before the nation and the national will. You will either normalize or become even more isolated and marginalized. There is no other way.
