As the 100th anniversary of the Republic continues to be celebrated in most provinces of Turkey, a new post came from Erdoğan.
''We celebrated our Republic Day with an enthusiasm worthy of the 100th anniversary of our Republic.'' said Erdoğan, announcing the school closure by stating, ''On this occasion, I would like to inform you that we have decided to close preschools, primary schools, middle schools, and high schools for 1 day on Monday, October 30.''
