In Van, search efforts continue for 21-year-old university student Rojin Kabaiş, who has been missing for 12 days.
Kabaiş, a student in the Preschool Teaching Department at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYÜ), who told her friends she was going to the beach to collect pebbles, has not been heard from since September 27.
Search efforts for Kabaiş, whose mobile phone and headphones were found on the beach, are being conducted by the Coast Guard Van Lake Group Command, the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, the Provincial Police Department's Seamen and Navigation Services Bureau and Underwater Group Command, and AFAD diving teams, using underwater imaging devices.
Teams searching abandoned structures and reed beds in the Bardakçı neighborhood near the beach and along the İskele coastline, as well as examining security cameras, are continuing their work in the coastal area with the help of search and rescue dogs and thermal cameras.
Kabaiş's family and relatives also continue to wait in the area where the search is being conducted.
