Sebahattin Şirin's statement revealed

In his statement, Sebahattin Şirin said, "I made the statement 'freedom for Mr. Öcalan' because I support the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process and the unity and solidarity of the country."

The suspect was asked about a video recording found on social media platforms during the investigation proceedings conducted against him, and about the video footage in which he is seen saying "freedom for Mr. Öcalan, freedom for Mr. Öcalan" while entering the forensic examination clinic at Bayrampaşa State Hospital during the procedures carried out regarding him:

Regarding the investigation conducted against me, I made the statement "freedom for Mr. Öcalan, freedom for Mr. Öcalan" in an open area where I saw members of the press, because I support the Terror-Free Turkey process and the unity and solidarity of the country. I have no other purpose or criminal intent.

I have made sincere statements regarding the matters asked of me within the scope of the investigation conducted against me. I do not accept any of the crimes attributed to me. I am innocent, he said.

It was stated that 796 thousand 400 TL, 82 thousand 953 dollars, 18 thousand 820 pounds, and 918 thousand 595 euros were found during the search conducted at Sebahattin Şirin's residence. Şirin was also asked about the fact that the money was found in different parts of the house and in a scattered manner.

Şirin argued that the money consisted of his personal savings accumulated over many years and gifts given at the wedding of his son, who got married about 8 months ago. Stating that he does not keep money in banks, Şirin said that he kept the money in different parts of the house against the possibility of theft.

Şirin stated that he could not explain in detail how much of the money was his own savings and how much was wedding gifts, and that he did not remember on what date and at which jeweler the gold was converted into foreign currency after the wedding. Stating that he had no documents regarding these transactions, Şirin said that if he obtained documents as a result of his research, he would submit them to the file.

38.4 MILLION TL IN HIS 26-YEAR-OLD SON'S ACCOUNTS

Sebahattin Şirin was asked about the 38 million 440 thousand 538 TL banking transaction volume detected in MASAK data regarding his son İbrahim Şamil Şirin, and the 3 million 337 thousand 735 TL transaction volume in payment and electronic money institutions.

While Şirin said that his son had no income other than driving and buying and selling mobile phones, he stated that he did not know how much he earned from these jobs.

Arguing that he did not use his son's bank accounts in any way, Şirin defended himself by saying, "I have no information regarding the banking transactions detected regarding my son. The banking transactions I have no knowledge of have nothing to do with me."

COULD NOT EXPLAIN TWO OF THE 4 BALLISTIC VESTS

The source of the four ballistic vests found in the house was also asked to Şirin.

Şirin said that he bought one of the vests about 5 years ago from a business in Zeytinburnu whose name and address he did not know, and that he received another one as a gift about 5 months ago from a person he knew by sight from European matches and whom he only knew as "Hakan".

Şirin argued that he had no information about how the other two ballistic vests came to his house. He also claimed that he did not know when and how the 6x35 caliber magazine and ammunition came to his house.

The three mobile phones seized during the search were also one of the notable topics of the prosecutor's interrogation.

Stating that only one of the phones belonged to him, Şirin said that he did not want to share the password of his phone on the grounds that it contained information and documents belonging to his family. He argued that there were no criminal elements inside the phone.

Stating that he had no information about the other two phones, Şirin claimed that he did not have any information regarding the content of a flash drive seized in the house.

DENIED DRUG CHARGES

Şirin was also charged with "purchasing, accepting, possessing, and using drugs or stimulants for personal use," which is regulated in Article 191 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK).

Şirin said that he absolutely did not accept this accusation.
