Seçil Erzan stated in her second supplementary testimony taken on May 3, 2023, that Denizbank Human Resources Manager T.K. instructed her to discard her old phone and use a new line and phone provided to her. The detail regarding the "bank" in Erzan's testimony drew attention.

ALLEGATION THAT HR MANAGER ALLOCATED A LINE

According to Sözcü columnist Aytunç Erkin, the highlights of Erzan's testimony are as follows:

“I was using the phone line ending in 0532 318... Apart from this line, I have a line ending in 0554 615... that the bank provides to all branch managers. Finally, just before I was taken into custody due to the incident subject to the investigation, Denizbank Human Resources Manager T.K. had allocated a phone and a line for me to use. After giving me this line, they saved the necessary numbers and told me to communicate through this phone and line. During the search, two phones and two lines were seized at my residence. One of them is the phone and line the bank allocated to me. It is completely without a password. However, when the bank gave me this phone, they told me to break and discard my previous phone and delete all correspondence within it. I was scared at the time, so I broke the screen of that phone, and before that, I had deleted as many of my WhatsApp messages as I could. Still, I kept this phone just in case. I currently want to hand this phone over to you. The (password) for this phone is 250199. I want the messages on this phone to be recovered if they are in a state to be retrieved, even if they were deleted. It will be seen especially how I was threatened by Semih Kaya and Fırat Özdemir.”

MANAGER'S TESTIMONY NOT TAKEN

According to the Sözcü columnist, the aforementioned broken phone was found in Erzan's home. However, no testimony was taken from the bank's human resources manager mentioned in Erzan's allegations.

THEY TOOK A VOICE RECORDING AND THREATENED HER BY SAYING 'IF YOU SAY IT HAPPENED AT THE BANK'

Erzan stated that S.T., an employee at the bank, forced her to make a voice recording, noting the following:

“Furthermore, I would especially like to state that on Saturday, April 8, when S.T. came to my house in Çorlu, he forced me to create a voice recording. He turned on his personal phone during the conversation and recorded my voice. At that moment, he said things to me like, ‘My dear Seçil, I knew you had been having such problems for a long time. I wish you had told us sooner. You help us so that we can help you. You need to say that you did not take money at the bank and that the actions you took did not happen at the bank. How can these men still be asking for money from the bank?’ He said, ‘If you say you carried out these actions only outside the bank, it will be considered breach of trust; if you say it happened at the bank, it will be considered embezzlement, and your life will rot away.’”
