A 'secret witness' development has occurred in the investigation based on a criminal complaint filed over social media posts by Erkan Çakır, the former CHP Muş Youth Branch President.

A report was published in a media group close to the government stating that a CHP delegate wanted to testify as a "secret witness" and had applied to the prosecutor's office.

According to the report by Ciner Media Group Ankara Representative Fevzi Çakır, the Prosecutor's Office took the sworn statement of that delegate.

"THE OFFERED MONEY WAS CONTINUOUSLY INCREASED"

In their statement, the delegate claimed that they were offered money to cast their vote during the convention, and although they rejected this offer several times, the amount of money offered was continuously increased.

Stating that they rejected the offer made to them, the delegate said in their statement, "The same offer was made to 8 of my fellow delegates as well."

The report also included the claim that, following all these developments in the investigation, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has decided to deepen its investigation into the CHP Convention.

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation based on allegations that money, phones, and houses were given to delegates during the process of the 38th Ordinary Convention of the CHP, which took place at the Ankara Sports Hall on November 4-5, 2023, and where Özgür Özel was elected Chairman.
