Sect building in Ankara sealed due to alcohol
The association building in Ankara affiliated with the Furkan Foundation was sealed on the grounds of "unauthorized club activities." A clash broke out between foundation members protesting the decision and the police.

The Ankara Governor's Office Provincial Directorate of Associations conducted an inspection of the Furkan Education and Research Association, which is affiliated with the Furkan Foundation led by Alparslan Kuytul.
During the inspections carried out at the central building in Ankara as well as three representative offices in Sincan, Şentepe, and Ulus, it was determined that unauthorized club activities were being conducted in the association buildings.
For this reason, an administrative fine was imposed on the association headquarters and the three aforementioned representative offices, and a decision was made to seal them. Following the notification, the sealing process was carried out at the central building today, accompanied by police teams.
"ALCOHOL ALLEGATION IS A PRETEXT, THE DECISION IS POLITICAL"
Members of the Furkan Movement who reacted to the sealing decision gathered in front of the building. Making a statement in the area, sect leader Alparslan Kuytul criticized the decision with harsh words:
“This decision, implemented under the pretext of alleged club-purpose usage and the consumption of alcoholic beverages, is nothing more than a cover intended to deceive the public conscience. Everyone knows that a situation such as the consumption of alcoholic beverages in Furkan Movement associations is out of the question. These sealing decisions made with baseless allegations are entirely arbitrary, political, and intentional.”
CLASH ERUPTED BETWEEN POLICE AND THE GROUP
Tension arose between the group present in front of the building and police teams during the sealing process. As a clash occurred, the police made significant efforts to disperse the crowd and prevent the incidents from escalating.
After the sealing, the foundation members who left the front of the building gathered in front of the Atatürk statue in Ulus to continue their protest. The group, which also reacted verbally to the police teams taking security measures there, demanded that the sealing decision be lifted.
