Security camera footage captures the fight that led to a police officer's death in Ankara

Security camera footage has emerged regarding the death of police officer Melih Okan Keskin, who lost his life following a fight at a vehicle inspection station in Ankara.

In an incident that occurred last week in Ankara, police officer Melih Okan Keskin, who served at the Batıkent Şehit Ramazan Çağlar Police Station, began arguing with employees at a vehicle inspection station where he had taken his car for a routine inspection. As the argument escalated into a fight, Keskin was beaten by the station employees. Keskin, who suffered a brain hemorrhage, lost his three-day battle for life.

Security camera footage of the incident has been released. In the footage, it is seen that an inspection station employee drives a vehicle toward police officer Keskin and then punches him. Subsequently, other employees also walk toward Keskin, causing a scuffle.

ONE OF TWO SUSPECTS DETAINED HAS BEEN ARRESTED

Following the incident, vehicle inspection station employees Y.K. and S.A. were detained. After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse; Y.K. was released under judicial control, while S.A. was arrested.

Melih Okan Keskin, who was taken to the hospital with injuries following the incident, was transferred to Gazi University Hospital for treatment. However, Keskin, who had suffered a brain hemorrhage, passed away three days later.
