Seda Sayan on the Ahbap investigation: Haluk Levent did not inspire confidence in me

As the testimony processes of celebrities within the scope of the investigation into the Ahbap Association, founded by Haluk Levent, remain in the spotlight, Seda Sayan made a statement regarding the matter. Sayan stated that she never made any donations to Ahbap and that she made her contributions through the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) and institutions recommended by the state.

In her assessment to the reporters of 2. Sayfa, Sayan expressed that she did not trust Haluk Levent. The singer said, “I did not do it, friends. I am a woman with high foresight. I know very well to whom and how to provide aid. Moreover, I research very thoroughly.”

In her statement, Sayan mentioned that she had known Levent for a long time, adding, “Because I have known Haluk Levent for a long time, he did not inspire confidence in me. Since I am also one of the most trusted names in Turkey, I have always made my donations to the Turkish Red Crescent and the places recommended by my state, and I continue to do so.”

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, allegations of irregularities regarding the donations collected by the Ahbap Association are being investigated. The investigation file alleges that some celebrities made social media posts encouraging donations to Ahbap, and that some individuals donated to the association at the request of Haluk Levent.

Seda Sayan's statement came during a period when celebrities have begun to provide testimony as part of the investigation. Sayan emphasized that she conducts research regarding her donation preferences and has preferred to provide aid through official institutions to date.
