Organized crime leader Sedat Peker, who is wanted under a red notice, announced that his lawyer Ayhan Sağıroğlu has passed away.
Ayhan Sağıroğlu, who served as Sedat Peker's lawyer during the Ergenekon trials and was still being tried in the Peker case, was remembered for his statement in court: "It is an honor for me to be tried because I am a friend of Sedat Peker."
Sağıroğlu was also the victim of an armed attack in 2020, in which he was shot in the leg three times.
