Selahattin Yılmaz, released in the Aziz İhsan Aktaş case, visits Bahçeli

Selahattin Yılmaz, who had been detained for approximately 13 months on allegations of preparing an armed attack against Aziz İhsan Aktaş, was released from Silivri Prison after the completion of his execution procedures.

After leaving the prison, Yılmaz visited MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli at his office. The visit drew attention as it took place immediately following the release process.

A release decision had been issued last Friday for Selahattin Yılmaz and Cem Duman following an appeal against their detention. While Duman was released following the decision, it was stated that Yılmaz continued to remain in prison due to being a convict under a separate case file.

Thus, the release process was completed four days later for the two defendants, whose continued detention had been ordered at the first hearing of the case.
