Selçuk Özdağ: We had the article against our nation's interests cancelled

Özdağ, regarding the Tax Lawcurrentlybeingdiscussed in Parliament,stated, "Have some mercy, even on the citizen's meagerrental income, they were going toyou have imposed. This is nothingmore than placinga new burden on the backsof our nation, which is alreadystruggling with economicdifficulties. As the 'Yeni Yol Group', we said 'stop' to this article that is against our nation's interests,” he stated.

Özdağ,in his statement,In thestatement, he noted the following:

"Have some conscience, have some conscience, have some conscience. You even set your sights on thepaltry rental income ofthe citizens.

Discussed inParliamentArticle 1 of the Tax Law currently being discussed was in the direction ofabolishing the 47,000 liraexemption on rental income.

This meant an unfair tax burdenthat would directly affect millions of tenantsand landlords.However, under existing laws, those with more than one residence

were already gaining unfair profits.obtaining income was prevented.

Now, they wanted to collect more taxes from citizens by completely removing the exemption.

This is nothing more thanplacing a new burdenon the backs of our nation,which is already strugglingis nothing but that.

As the 'Yeni Yol Group', we said 'stop' to this article that was against our nation's interests.

We had Article 1 cancelled with the motion we submitted.
