An incident that shook the local press community occurred in the Şereflikoçhisar district of Ankara. Yunus Emre Işılak, owner of the Şereflikoçhisar Hisar newspaper, set fire to the office of the Tuzgölü Haber newspaper, owned by Yusuf Özdemir, with whom he reportedly had a feud, during the night. It was learned that Işılak set fire to the entrance of the workplace and broadcast the moments when the flames rose live on his social media account using his mobile phone.

According to T24's report, Işılak, who addressed AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his broadcast while the fire was burning, made various allegations against local officials. Işılak stated, "There is a lot of corruption and shamelessness in our district. No one can stop it. Yusuf Özdemir, the owner of the Tuzgölü Haber newspaper, is engaging in a lot of corruption in our district by backing himself with the AKP and Şereflikoçhisar District Governor Taner Tengir."
While showing the flames, Işılak also addressed Şereflikoçhisar District Governor Taner Tengir and AKP District Chairman Levent Sarıkaya, saying, "You can be proud of yourself for this environment, for this visual you see."
LONG-STANDING FEUD
According to the information obtained, there has been a long-standing dispute between Yunus Emre Işılak and Yusuf Özdemir. It was alleged that Işılak had also assaulted Özdemir in his own office last year.

Firefighting teams dispatched to the scene upon notification intervened in the fire and brought the flames under control. While the fire that broke out in the newspaper office was completely extinguished, it was reported that the duty prosecutor examined the scene during the night and a wide-ranging investigation into the arson was launched. The suspect of the incident, Yunus Emre Işılak, along with O.M.Y. who was with him, were detained.
