Allegations that the killer of Şeyda Yılmaz is a 'member of the PITON 82 group'! 'Their role model is Barış Boyun...'

It has been alleged that 19-year-old Yunus Emre Geçti, who martyred 27-year-old female police officer Şeyda Yılmaz during a scuffle that broke out during a theft operation in Ümraniye, was part of a group called PITON 82 that engages in drug trafficking, purse-snatching, and extortion in peripheral neighborhoods. It is stated that the role model for this group is crime syndicate leader Barış Boyun and that it has begun to grow as a new-generation gang network.

After being caught for 'motorcycle theft' in Ümraniye, Istanbul, and subsequently escaping from the police station, Yunus Emre Geçti clashed with the police officers who caught him again.

The killer, who took the officer's weapon, martyred 27-year-old police officer Şeyda Yılmaz.

Journalist İsmail Saymaz, who appeared on a live broadcast on Halk TV, explained the attack and the new-generation crime network.

Of course, there are also side crimes to this, such as abduction and injury. We can call this a criminal career. We are facing a new-generation crime network.

"THEIR CORE ECONOMY IS BASED ON DRUGS"

These are groups that have grown up around drugs, purse-snatching, and extortion in the peripheral neighborhoods of Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, and Adana. It is alleged that the name of this person's group is PITON 82. Clearly, this is a new group. Over time, they will join a higher-level clan. For now, they are doing subcontracting work for higher-level groups. The most advanced example of these was the Daltonlar group. While they were busy with extortion and drug deals, they started operating across Turkey. Then they became subcontractors for gangs like Skaljari and Kavac. The most advanced model of these organizations is the Daltonlar. They introduced motorcycle attacks to Turkey's criminal world. Their core economy is also based on drugs. It heavily influences the 15-20 age group. This is not like emulating a culture of 'kabadayı' (tough guy) bravado. That world has its own jargon and culture.
