SGK takes action following Erdoğan's 'shake them up' order! Funds withdrawn from IMM and ABB accounts

Following the instruction of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to "shake up the municipalities," the Social Security Institution (SGK) has taken action.
Foreclosure proceedings were initiated against the CHP-run Ankara, Istanbul, Adana, Izmir, and Mersin Metropolitan Municipalities, as well as the Şişli Municipality, due to unpaid SGK premium debts.
ACCOUNTS BLOCKED
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has applied foreclosure proceedings to the 6 municipalities with the highest SGK premium debts. Blocks were placed on the municipalities' deposit and company accounts.
The municipalities subject to foreclosure proceedings are the Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, Izmir, and Mersin Metropolitan Municipalities, and the Şişli Municipality.
According to a report by the pro-government newspaper Sabah; the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has an SGK debt of 5.7 billion TL, the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality follows with 5.3 billion TL, and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality ranks third with 3.3 billion TL. The debt of the Adana Metropolitan Municipality was recorded as 3 billion TL, the Şişli Municipality as 1.8 billion TL, and the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality as 1 billion TL.

The IMM announced that there is no foreclosure process on its accounts.
In the statement made by the IMM, it was stated, "There is neither a block nor a foreclosure on IMM or its subsidiary company accounts."
