Dilan Çıtak, the daughter of İbrahim Tatlıses, endangered traffic safety at the New Hospital Junction on Konacık Atatürk Boulevard in the Bodrum district of Muğla.
Police teams stopped Çıtak and asked for her driver's license and vehicle registration. When she attempted to drive off in her pickup truck, the police team tried to stop her. Ignoring the 'stop' order, Çıtak drove her vehicle toward the police while attempting to flee.
The police then drew their weapons and ordered Çıtak to get out of the vehicle. When Dilan Çıtak moved the vehicle again, the police fired a warning shot into the air.
Numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene. After a while, Dilan Çıtak got out of the vehicle, entered another car, and then returned to her own pickup truck, locking herself inside. Çıtak also reacted to the members of the press who were filming the incident.
Taken to the police station accompanied by police officers who boarded her pickup truck, Çıtak was detained on charges of 'obstructing a public official from performing their duty' and 'threatening a public official.' In her statement, Çıtak denied the accusations, stating that the incident occurred because she panicked.
İbrahim Tatlıses’s daughter, Dilan Çıtak, was referred to the courthouse this morning. Released under judicial control by the court, Çıtak said upon leaving the courthouse, "There was a small misunderstanding. It will be resolved."
Dilan Çıtak’s husband, Levent Dörter, said, "We are following the process, and we will find out what happened," while her lawyer, Feyza Altun, stated that the legal process is ongoing.
