Psychiatrist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Kotan, who lost her son in the fire that broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya, made striking statements regarding the investigation conducted after the tragedy.

Stating that the hotel owners were able to easily exit via the stairs during the fire, Kotan expressed that no legal action has been taken against the three shareholders yet.

Kotan also alleged that some remarkable financial transactions were carried out after the fire.

It was claimed that 5 million dollars were withdrawn from a bank immediately after the incident and that vehicle sales were carried out at a notary.

In the fire that broke out on January 19 at a hotel located in Bolu's famous ski resort, Kartalkaya, 78 people lost their lives.

It was stated that in the fire, where the flames grew in a short time, those staying at the hotel were affected by smoke and could not get out. After the incident, it was alleged that there were serious negligences regarding the hotel's fire safety, but no detention procedures were carried out against the hotel owners.

While public reactions continue following the fire tragedy, the course of the investigation continues to be a subject of debate.
