The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has announced that ship traffic in the Bosphorus, which was temporarily suspended due to a vessel failure, has resumed. In its statement, the Ministry noted that traffic has returned to normal in the north-south direction.
The statement recalled that the ship named "Hacı Hüseyin" dropped anchor while drifting toward the shore off Kanlıca due to a mechanical failure.
It was noted that the ship was safely anchored at the Ahırkapı Anchorage Area under the coordination of the Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services Center and accompanied by the KURTARMA-8 and KURTARMA-3 tugboats.
The Ministry's statement included the phrase, "Ship traffic in the Bosphorus has been reopened in the north-south direction."
