The sister of Medine Kara, who was claimed to have committed suicide by hanging herself while only 8 months into her marriage, has revealed what her sister wrote in her diary.
Stating that her sister was not the type of person to commit suicide, Nuray Değirmenci claimed that she was murdered by her husband.
FOUND DEAD 7 YEARS AGO
Medine Kara was found hanging by a rope in 2017, when she had been married to A.K. for only 8 months.
AUTOPSY REPORT WAS DIFFERENT
In the initial autopsy report conducted by the prosecutor of the time at the scene, it was noted that "tissue damage" was detected on Medine Kara, and that there were 'bruised areas' at the level of both shinbones and redness on the lower part of her back and neck.
In the autopsy report from the Adana Forensic Medicine Group Presidency, which arrived 1 month later, it was determined that she died due to hanging.
Following the report, the Dörtyol Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a decision of non-prosecution.
EVERYTHING REVEALED IN THE DIARY
The diary that Medine Kara kept shortly before her death has surfaced.
The diary revealed the torture Medine suffered at the hands of her husband, A.K.
In Medine Kara's diary, the notes, "Be sure that I will never forget those knife marks on my leg for the rest of my life. You threatened me many times. You brought an unlicensed gun into my home and threatened me with that gun many times. Whenever I said let's separate, you made threats many times with that gun, saying I would kill your family and I would kill you. You put the gun to my mouth and threatened to kill me, and I stayed silent," drew attention.
Following these notes, a lawsuit was filed against Medine Kara's husband, A.K., for 'simple assault'.
The sister of the deceased Medine Kara, Nuray Değirmenci, said, "They say it was staged as a suicide, but my sister definitely did not commit suicide. My sister was not a person who would commit suicide; my sister's death was staged as a suicide. There had been a small argument between them on the day of the incident. He had sacrificed an animal at his mother's house but never told my sister, and that's why an argument broke out."
Claiming that her sister suffered a great deal, Değirmenci said, "Her husband called us and said, 'Come and take your sister, either she will kill me or I will kill her.' We could not reach my sister 4 hours after this conversation. He killed my sister that day. My sister lost her life, but why did her husband call his brother instead of calling an ambulance? His brother came from 130 kilometers away, but there was no ambulance. As far as I know, you call 112 first or ask neighbors for help. His brother definitely has a hand in this. Maybe his brother was also inside," she said.
