Shots fired at Erden Timur's company in Şişli: 5 detained suspects also robbed a jewelry store

An armed attack was carried out at night against the company building of businessman and former Galatasaray executive Erden Timur in Istanbul's Şişli district. The vehicle used by the attackers fled with suspicious license plates. Police conducted an operation, detained 5 people, and uncovered the connections behind the attack.

SHOOTING INCIDENT IN ŞİŞLİ

Last January, an armed attack was carried out on the APA NEF building located in the Esentepe neighborhood of Şişli. While seven bullets hit the building owned by Erden Timur, the attackers fled the scene in a white car with fake license plates. Immediately after the incident, police examined security cameras and found the suspicious vehicle parked in Sultangazi. While no incriminating evidence was found in the vehicle, a luxury car right behind it was also identified with a fake license plate.

POLICE DISCLOSE SEIZED WEAPONS AND GASOLINE CANISTER

During the searches conducted in the vehicles, police seized a Kalashnikov rifle, 2 unlicensed pistols, numerous bullets, a pair of handcuffs, and a 5-liter gasoline canister. The Robbery Bureau teams, using the information they obtained, determined that the suspects were staying at a hotel in Şişli and took action. In the raid, M.K. (30), H.A. (33), M.B. (30), M.Ş.E. (27), and B.Ş. (24) were detained.

SUSPECTS' CRIMINAL RECORDS REVEALED

It was learned that the interrogated suspects had numerous prior criminal records. It was determined that the suspects, who denied the accusations, had performed searches on their mobile phones regarding the building that was attacked.

Police determined that the detained suspects were linked to jewelry store robberies in Bahçelievler and Kadıköy, and were also involved in the theft of 400 grams of gold in Kağıthane on January 19. The investigation was completed, and the suspects were arrested and sent to prison.
