In Hatay, one of the provinces most affected by the February 6 earthquakes, a "silent march" was held for those who lost their lives to mark the anniversary of the disaster.
In the İskenderun district of Hatay, those who perished in the earthquake were commemorated. Citizens gathered on the E-5 Highway and walked with torches to the Mustafa Kemal Neighborhood Health Center.
"NO FORGETTING, NO FORGIVING"
Carrying photographs of their relatives who lost their lives in the earthquake, the survivors chanted slogans throughout the march, including "Do not forget the earthquake, do not let it be forgotten", "It was not the earthquake that killed, but negligence", "The day will come, the tide will turn, those responsible will be held accountable to the people" and "No forgetting, no forgiving, no reconciliation" .
The demonstration ended in front of the Cemevi in the Mustafa Kemal neighborhood, one of the areas that suffered the most destruction, with a moment of silence and laments.
