The AKP's 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress in Sivas was held at the Sivas 4 Eylül Indoor Sports Hall. A dispute arose after the list submitted by Mustafa Taki Doğruyol, who wanted to run for provincial chairman, was not accepted.
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, AKP Parliamentary Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, and former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) İsmet Yılmaz attended the congress.
During the congress, two separate lists were submitted to the committee. One of these lists was prepared by the incumbent provincial chairman Yusuf Tanrıverdi, and the other by Mustafa Taki Doğruyol.
CONGRESS COMMITTEE REJECTED THE OTHER LIST, CAUSING CHAOS
However, the committee only included Yusuf Tanrıverdi’s list on the election agenda and rejected the other list. This situation led to tension at the congress and drew reactions from the delegates.
