Şişli Municipality trustee provides free bus support to Menzil
Following the transfer of the mayoral office to a trustee at Şişli Municipality, it has been reported that the new trustee, Ali İkram Tuna, provided bus services for residents of the Kuştepe neighborhood to travel to the Menzil Dervish Lodge in Adıyaman.

A change in the trustee at Şişli Municipality took place last May. In the process that began with the arrest of Resul Şahan, who was elected mayor following the local elections, Cevdet Ertürkmen first assumed the role of trustee, followed by Ayhan Terzi, who took over the seat for a short period. However, Terzi also left after eight days to be appointed to another position. Finally, Büyükçekmece District Governor Ali İkram Tuna began to carry out both his current district governorship and the trusteeship at Şişli Municipality simultaneously.
One of the first actions taken by Ali İkram Tuna after starting his duty in Şişli was a transportation support initiative concerning the residents of the Kuştepe neighborhood. Following his visit to the neighborhood, Tuna allocated a municipal bus so that the citizens living there could travel to the Menzil Dervish Lodge in Adıyaman.
It was reported that residents of Kuştepe and representatives of the dervish lodge expressed their satisfaction following the bus organization. Barış Çayırcı from the AK Party thanked Tuna for his support in a post on his social media account, stating, “A first in our Kuştepe neighborhood after many years! Despite having been in office for only 55 days, we extend our endless gratitude to the Deputy Mayor of Şişli, Mr. Ali İkram Tuna, for not turning down the request of our neighborhood and our dervish lodges and for providing bus support to Adıyaman Menzil, on behalf of myself, our neighborhood residents, and my dervish lodge, along with our deputy mayor Şaban Demirel. Glad to have you, Mr. Mayor!”
Following the frequent changes in the municipal administration, it has been observed that with the arrival of Ali İkram Tuna, sensitivity has been shown particularly toward religiously motivated requests and events. The fact that Tuna continues to hold both the Büyükçekmece District Governorship and the trusteeship in Şişli simultaneously has been among the notable details.
While the municipality's support has been discussed in various ways in the public eye and on social media platforms, it was frequently emphasized that the bus service was “a first” in Kuştepe.
