Snowfall has been continuing intermittently for 3 days on the Bolu Mountain sections of the Anatolian Motorway and the D-100 highway. The depth of the snow, which intensified since the morning hours, has approached 1 meter. Traffic is flowing normally on the route where highway crews are conducting snow clearing and salting operations.
Highway, gendarmerie, and traffic teams working in the region have warned drivers without winter tires not to set out and to keep chains and tow ropes in their vehicles.
In Düzce, snowfall that began in the morning hours has also intensified in higher elevations.
Drivers are proceeding with caution on the D-100 highway, the Northern Ring Road, the Permanent Housing Connection Road, and the D-655 Western Black Sea Connection Road due to heavy precipitation.
Highway, Düzce Municipality, and Provincial Special Administration teams are carrying out snow clearing and salting work on the roads to prevent any disruptions to transportation.
Police teams are warning drivers in the higher parts of the province, specifically in the Permanent Housing and Konuralp regions, to have winter tires and to install chains.
Meanwhile, sleet is affecting the Düzce section of the Anatolian Motorway, where traffic is flowing normally.
