Renowned actor Ercan Kesal shared a message on the first day of Ramadan Bayram for the young people detained during protests against the arrest and removal from office of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Ercan Kesal, who shared the post on his social media account, stated the following:

Eduardo Galeano has a story that makes me shiver every time I read it. In a children's hospital in Managua, all the staff and doctors had gone home early before the New Year. Dr. Fernando, the hospital director, who was preparing to go home after his final checks, hears footsteps in the corridor. When he turns around, he sees one of the sick children following him.
