The statements made by Raziye Öztürk, the lawyer for PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, to Jinnews continue to be a subject of debate in politics.
As reported by Sözcü, Öztürk conveyed the views expressed at İmralı in her interview, stating that the process has moved away from the "line desired" by terrorist leader Öcalan. She shared the details of the remarks that led to this meeting being interpreted as "Öcalan criticized the DEM Party."
Raziye Öztürk stated that Öcalan expressed that politics has remained insufficient, conveying his words: "He determined that the core issue is being ignored in pursuit of interests and rent-seeking, and that this is what the struggle is about."
Following the interview, the Asrın Law Office, where Öztürk works, issued a written statement. The statement pointed out that the words of terrorist leader Öcalan were misinterpreted, noting that these were evaluations directed not at a single party, but at the entire political institution.
The statement further added: "Öcalan emphasizes that at the current stage reached in the resolution of the 100-year-old problem, the political institution as a whole has not shown the necessary seriousness."
