Some public transport is free in 3 cities during Ramadan Feast! Which bridges and highways will be free during the holiday?

During the Ramadan Feast holiday, crossings on highways under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways (KGM), as well as the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, will be free of charge starting from 00.00 tonight until 07.00 on Monday, April 15. Meanwhile, some public transport services in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir will also be provided to citizens free of charge.

During the Ramadan Feast holiday, no fees will be charged for highway and bridge crossings under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways (KGM). The decision regarding this matter has been published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, due to the holiday, crossings on highways under the responsibility of the KGM, as well as the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, will be free of charge starting from 00.00 tonight until 07.00 on Monday, April 15.

Build-operate-transfer projects were excluded from the free passage application.

URBAN PUBLIC TRANSPORT IS FREE DURING THE FEAST AND ON APRIL 23

Citizens will be able to benefit from Başkentray, Marmaray, İZBAN, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Arnavutköy Metro Line services, as well as public transport services operated by municipalities and the unions, institutions, and enterprises established by them, free of charge from 00.00 on Wednesday, April 10, until the end of the day on Friday, April 12 (during the Ramadan Feast).

The aforementioned urban lines and public transport services will also be provided free of charge for the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

On the other hand, the Presidential Decree also included a provision regarding the free use of the newly launched Arnavutköy-Istanbul Airport Metro Line by passengers boarding from the Arnavutköy and Taşoluk stations during the period of March 19-31.
