Some roads in Ankara to be closed to traffic on April 23

The Provincial Police Department announced on its social media account that some roads across the city will be closed to vehicle traffic due to events to be held as part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

In the statement, it was stated that starting from 06:00 on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, if necessary, the following will be closed to vehicle traffic: GMK Boulevard, Anıt Street, Gençlik Street, Akdeniz Street, Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Street, Dögol Street, Sporpark Street, the section of Talatpaşa Boulevard between Atatürk Boulevard and the Ankara Train Station Junction, the section of Kazım Karabekir Street between İstanbul Street and Anadolu Square, and the section of İstanbul Street between Kazım Karabekir Street and Baruthane Junction.

Furthermore, it was stated that the section of Hipodrom Street between Mevlana Boulevard and the Ankara Train Station Junction, the section of Cumhuriyet Street between Ulus Junction and the Ankara Train Station Junction, the section of Atatürk Boulevard between 15 July Kızılay National Will Square and Havuzlu Street, the section of İsmet İnönü Boulevard between 15 July Martyrs Square (General Staff Junction) and Atatürk Boulevard, all variants connecting to and opening from Celal Bayar Boulevard, all variants connecting to and opening from the Train Station and Transportation Junction, and the side roads of İstanbul Street connecting to Baruthane Junction along with the variants opening from there will be closed to vehicle traffic until the programs conclude.

The Ankara Police Department warned citizens to use alternative routes and to obey traffic signs and signals to avoid any inconvenience.
