Some roads in Istanbul to be closed to traffic due to CHP's Maltepe rally

The Istanbul Governor's Office has announced that some roads will be closed to traffic on Saturday, March 29, due to the rally to be held in Maltepe.

The CHP will continue its series of rallies, which began in Saraçhane following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, with a demonstration in Maltepe. The major rally will begin today at 12:00.

Due to the rally, some roads in Istanbul will be closed to traffic.

In a statement issued by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the roads that will be closed to traffic starting from 07:00 today until the measures are lifted were listed as follows:

"Turgut Özal Boulevard (Maltepe-Kartal Coastal Road) (the section between the Küçükyalı Maltepe Marriage Office and the Kartal Çanakkale Street intersection) and all streets leading to this road."

The statement noted that the D-100 highway and Maltepe Bağdat Street can be used as alternative routes to the closed roads.
