It is alleged that former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu sent three written requests to the ministry to return the armored vehicle he was using, but the ministry failed to take delivery of the vehicle. According to a report by journalist Osman Diyadin, Soylu, having received no response to his request, had the armored vehicle in question left in front of a government office 1 kilometer away from the ministry.
In his post, Diyadin included the following details regarding Soylu's armored vehicle crisis:
"The reason the ministry did not want to take the vehicle back is that it was allocated to Süleyman Soylu for protection and security under the relevant articles of the Anti-Terror Law. There is also an official record regarding this matter. For this reason, the Ministry of Interior cannot take delivery of the vehicle.
