Ortaylı's post is as follows:
"The proclamation document of our Republic, October 29, 1923.
'Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation. The method of administration is based on the principle that the people personally and effectively manage their own destiny. The form of government of the State of Turkey is a Republic.'"
