The spirit of the Çanakkale Victory is kept alive at TEKNOFEST

At the festival, which is organized under the main coordination of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and where AA is the global communication partner, the trench where the Mehmetçik (Turkish soldiers) stayed for months and withstood the attacks of the invaders during the Çanakkale Wars is recreated with digital mapping techniques and decor support.

Visitors, who experience the noise of the enemy fleet's warships through both visual and sound design in the simulation, join the "Fully Independent Turkey" area in the final stage.

Area supervisor Alper Aslangören stated that there are three sections in the "In the Footsteps of Victory: Çanakkale Digital Experience Area."

Stating that the importance of technology is emphasized in the area, Aslangören said, "At the first entrance, we have a shelter section where our soldiers in Çanakkale slept, ate, and rested. After this area, we enter the LED area. Here, we have 3D visuals representing the conflicts in the air, on land, and at sea."

Explaining that participants come to the "Fully Independent Turkey" area after the trench stage, Aslangören continued as follows:

"We created an environment to convey the ambiance there, both audibly and visually, to our visitors, and to instill the feelings of the soldiers there. In the final area, we have a section to show the progression of that spirit in Çanakkale from Çanakkale to today's technology, and that it is no longer about cannons and rifles, but rather about the development of technology."

Aslangören said that there was more participation in the area than they expected and that they witnessed emotional moments.

Expressing that the feedback was very good, Aslangören noted the following:

"It went even better than we expected. We experienced many emotional moments. The children were extremely excited. They were very excited, especially in the explosion areas. Our older guests were both happy, and there were those who left with tears in their eyes. We had many groups that applauded. We received incredibly good feedback."
