Spoke about the CHP convention: Fatih Altaylı's 'I will vote for the AKP' remark

Responding to questions regarding claims that he would be a candidate at the convention, Kılıçdaroğlu did not directly say "I am a candidate," but signaled that he could be a candidate if nominated.

Kılıçdaroğlu said the following about the convention and his candidacy:

"Since I first became chairman, I have never come out and said, 'I am a candidate for chairman.' In other words, I have not spoken about becoming a candidate for chairman. What I will say is that the party should hold a democratic convention.

I had published a congratulatory message because the decision to obtain permission and hold a convention was made. Therefore, I stand by that message. It was the right decision. I have never expressed anywhere that 'I am aspiring to candidacy or the chairmanship.' Whoever they choose at the convention, that is the right thing."

Following these developments, journalist Fatih Altaylı spoke about Kılıçdaroğlu's candidacy on his YouTube channel.

"I WILL EITHER VOTE FOR THE AKP OR I WILL QUIT EVERYTHING AND LEAVE"

Altaylı stated, "If this old man, this 76-year-old ball of ambition, becomes a candidate again at the CHP convention and, God forbid, gets elected, I will either vote for the AKP or I will quit everything and settle in a coastal town."

Altaylı's aforementioned statements are as follows:

"Let me say this for myself; if this old man, this 76-year-old ball of ambition, becomes a candidate again at the CHP convention and, God forbid, gets elected, I swear there are two things I will do. I will choose one of them.

One, I will say 'Damn you all' and vote for the AKP. Two, I will quit everything and settle in a coastal town. If Kılıçdaroğlu is elected, you have a chance to get rid of me. If he is elected, I am leaving, brother; no one will be able to see me.

All my hopes and everything regarding the country will end. If Kılıçdaroğlu is elected to lead the CHP again, I swear I cannot leave the country because I love it too much, but I will quit broadcasting, journalism, everything.

I will go to a coastal town, get a fishing rod, put a funnel on my head, and catch fish. Kılıçdaroğlu being elected would be like a nightmare..."
