Statement from Ahmet Davutoğlu regarding the new formation in Parliament

Future Party (Gelecek Partisi) Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu made a statement on his social media account regarding the group to be formed by the Gelecek, Saadet, and DEVA parties coming together.

Starting his remarks by thanking the DEVA Party, Davutoğlu continued as follows:

I would like to thank the DEVA Party for providing support so that our Gelecek-Saadet Group can carry out its activities within the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) again and in a more powerful way; especially to Chairman Mr. Ali Babacan, Mersin Deputy Mr. Emin Ekmen, and Gaziantep Deputy Mr. Ertuğrul Kaya.

I have full faith that this step, which is the first sign of our unity that will bring a new horizon and a new breath to our political life—which is being narrowed through polarization every passing day—will create a new excitement in our society in a short time.

By making every necessary sacrifice, we will overcome every obstacle thought to be insurmountable, open every path thought to be a dead end, revive every hope thought to be exhausted, and tear apart every straitjacket they want to force upon our nation.

We are here and we are standing tall like an 'Elif'!

Until our last breath, we will continue to work for the approval of the Truth and the future of the people!
