AKP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made a post regarding the removal of a banner featuring a Quranic verse at the Yeditepe University Faculty of Law graduation ceremony.

Çelik stated, "Greetings to everyone who voices the truth of 'Be upright as you are commanded.'

May our brothers and sisters who strive for this truth to be seen be well.

This truth is the banner of our hearts at all times and in all places.

Those who try to prevent this truth from being heard and seen should be ashamed.

Those who engage in barbaric acts have only written a great shame upon their own foreheads."
