Statement from Akşener regarding claims she will become Vice President

A claim that has dominated the political agenda has emerged regarding former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener. While political circles were abuzz with allegations that Akşener would become Vice President, a statement came from her advisor.

As February 23, the date when the new party administration will be determined in the AKP, approaches, notable developments are taking place behind the scenes. 

Journalist Fatih Portakal claimed during his broadcast on Wednesday that he had received significant inside information, alleging that Meral Akşener would become Vice President.

Portakal stated, "It has been finalized that Meral Akşener will become Vice President. Hands have been shaken. Let us say may it be for the best," he said.

"I CANNOT EVEN CALL IT WRONG"

Speaking to Euronews Turkish, Meral Akşener's advisor denied the allegations. Stating that Akşener has "left politics," her advisor used the following expressions:

"I am not even calling the claims that she will become Vice President wrong; they are completely false. The Chair [Meral Akşener] has left active politics.

Furthermore, we have no political planning for the future. We have no such agenda."
