Statement from Al-Qassam Brigades following Haniyeh assassination: It is time to cut off the hand that stirs up trouble

Following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, a statement has also come from the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.

In the statement made on the Al-Qassam Brigades' Telegram account, it was stated: "The heinous assassination of Haniyeh in the heart of Iran's capital is a significant and dangerous event that carries the war into new dimensions with major repercussions across the entire region. The enemy has miscalculated by expanding the circle of aggression, carrying out assassinations of resistance leaders in various fields, and violating the sovereignty of regional countries."

'NETANYAHU IS DRAGGING THE OCCUPIERS TOWARD THE ABYSS'

The statement, which assessed that narcissism has "blinded" Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, argued that Netanyahu is "dragging the occupiers toward the abyss, accelerating their collapse and their permanent disappearance from Palestinian lands."

The statement continued: "The time has come to put an end to this Zionist immorality, to rein in this rampant enemy, to cut off the hand that stirs up trouble, and to deter its aggression. Danger bells are ringing for all countries and peoples of the region due to the enemy's ongoing crimes in various fields. (The Haniyeh assassination) must mobilize everyone to support the Palestinian resistance, for Palestine is the forward defense line for the entire Ummah."
