Statement from Bekir Bozdağ regarding Sırrı Süreyya Önder's health issue

DEM Party Deputy Speaker of the TBMM Sırrı Süreyya Önder fell ill while presiding over the session in the General Assembly. Following Önder's illness, the session was adjourned.

TBMM Speaker Bekir Bozdağ stated that Deputy Speaker of the TBMM Sırrı Süreyya Önder needs rest due to his ongoing medical treatment.

AKP's Bekir Bozdağ, while announcing the development regarding Önder, used the following expressions:

"Our Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Sırrı Süreyya Önder is our duty group deputy speaker this week. However, due to his ongoing treatment, he needed some rest. For that reason, I will take over the management of the Assembly in his place. 

We convey our wishes for a speedy recovery to our esteemed speaker from here. His health is quite good. 

Only a need for rest has arisen."
