CHP statement on the operation against Yavaş: 'In the coming days...'

While the concert investigation into the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues, the request for authorization to investigate ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş remains at the center of the political agenda. 

PERCEPTION OPERATION

According to a report by Yavuz Alatan from Sözcü, while CHP officials described the case as a "completely hollow move," Deputy Chairperson Aylin Nazlıaka also made sharp statements. Nazlıaka stated, "Mansur Yavaş is being subjected to a perception operation by the government using the judiciary as a stick. Just as it was revealed that the allegations in the Ergenekon and Balyoz operations were lies, the same process will be experienced in the coming days."

"IT WILL NOT STAIN"

In her statement, Nazlıaka expressed her reaction by saying, "There is no investigation into the person who sold Ankara parcel by parcel, yet they are trying to smear our spotless mayor, but it will not stain."

Nazlıaka continued her speech with the following remarks:

"The CHP is the leading party, and the government is experiencing great indigestion and targeting our party. They want to discredit our mayors, bureaucrats, and provincial chairs through perception operations. They are trying to hold those whose wrists they cannot bend in prison. Their goal is to intimidate, silence, and suppress."

EMPHASIS ON TRANSPARENCY

Emphasizing that Mansur Yavaş has carried out all his work in an open and accountable manner since the day he took office, Nazlıaka used the following expressions:

"While they do not open an investigation into the person who sold Ankara parcel by parcel, they are trying to smear our spotless mayor. However, the public knows the truth, and these games will not yield results."
