Following the call from MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the DEM Party Imralı Delegation, which had previously gone to Imralı to meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, has issued a statement regarding a second meeting.
APPLICATION TO BE MADE TOMORROW
The statement included the following: "The DEM Party Imralı Delegation will apply to the Ministry of Justice on Monday to hold a second meeting with Mr. Öcalan. We expect the second visit to take place shortly after the delegation submits its application."
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç had stated in his remarks regarding a second Imralı meeting that no application had been received yet.
Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who is part of the delegation, had responded to Minister Tunç by saying, "We will submit our application as soon as possible for the coming week."
