IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made statements to journalists in the hallway following his party's group meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

Speaking about the IMM case on the agenda, Dervişoğlu said that their party had sent representatives to Silivri to follow the hearing. Dervişoğlu stated, “We have friends assigned to be in Silivri. Our Head of Legal and Election Affairs, Mr. Hakan Şeref Olgun, and a group of our lawyer colleagues are closely following the hearings in Silivri today.”

Dervişoğlu continued his remarks as follows:

“I have been saying this from the very beginning. These events do not solely represent legal investigations. They absolutely have political dimensions as well. When you look at it from one side, do not view the struggle taking place there merely as a legal battle. For some, this struggle is evaluated as a fight for personality, dignity, and virtue. We look at it from that perspective as well.”

Dervişoğlu also expressed his views regarding the debates on the live broadcasting of the hearings:

"I have expressed my views on the live broadcasting of the trial many times. I do not find it appropriate; I believe that the measures taken in this area should be evaluated as measures taken in favor of the defendants. If, on one hand, you are talking about an indictment prepared with the statements of confessors and slanderers, on the other hand, you should not ignore the reality that snapshots capable of confirming these could be planned and imposed upon the nation during these live broadcasts."
