In a statement shared on his social media account, Erdoğan said the following:
"I convey my best wishes to our citizens affected by the earthquake that occurred in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir and was also felt in our surrounding provinces.
Our relevant units, primarily AFAD, are meticulously continuing their investigation and control efforts in the field. We are also closely monitoring the process.
May the Almighty protect our country and our nation from all kinds of disasters."
