Statement from Health Minister Koca regarding the cable car accident

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca stated that 1 person died and 10 people were injured in the cable car accident in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya, adding, "Following initial interventions, the injured have been transferred to hospitals and their treatment has begun; their health conditions are not critical. Due to the incident, 30 of the 184 people stranded in the other 29 cable car cabins have been rescued by expert teams, and efforts are ongoing."

Minister Koca shared the following information in a statement regarding the accident on his social media account:

"As a result of a cable car cabin falling in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya, one person has lost their life and 10 people have been injured. Due to the accident, a total of 24 medical personnel, including 6 ambulances and 2 UMKE teams, have been deployed.

Following initial interventions, the injured have been transferred to hospitals and their treatment has begun; their health conditions are not critical. 

Due to the incident, 30 of the 184 people stranded in the other 29 cable car cabins have been rescued by expert teams, and efforts are ongoing. 

I offer my condolences to the citizen who lost their life in the accident, wish a speedy recovery to our injured, and convey my best wishes to the survivors who have been rescued and those still waiting to be rescued."
