Statement from İlber Ortaylı regarding his health after being hospitalized

Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı had been hospitalized after falling ill before a symposium planned as part of the August 30 Victory Day events organized by the Bilecik Municipality.

While Ortaylı's hospitalization caused concern, the famous historian made a statement regarding his health status.

Sharing a video on his social media account, Ortaylı stated, "I have been undergoing treatment for a while. This treatment can sometimes cause severe reactions. I will need to rest for about a week or two. I hope to have recovered within a few months."
