Statement from İnan Kıraç's cousin: 'I am worried for his life'; 'His safe was emptied'

Ahmet Hür Güreralp, a businessman and cousin (son of his aunt) of Kıraça Holding Chairman of the Board İnan Kıraç, who lives in the US and is also a member of the İnan Kıraç Foundation board of trustees, spoke to Toygun Atilla from Patronlar Dünyası: "İnan Kıraç has been isolated from all his loved ones by his new wife, Emine Alangoya. I am worried for his life. Last Sunday, Emine Alangoya emptied one of the two safes at Kıraça Holding."

FIRST OBJECTION TO THE MARRIAGE CAME FROM HIS DAUGHTER

88-year-old İnan Kıraç married 76-year-old Emine Alangoya in December 2024. The first objection to the wedding, which was held discreetly and without anyone's knowledge in the office of Mayor Hasan Akgün in Büyükçekmece, came from İnan Kıraç's daughter, İpek Kıraç.

The lawsuit filed for the annulment of the marriage proceeded to the point where İnan Kıraç underwent a mental health examination at the Forensic Medicine Institute, which subsequently led to a diagnosis of "dementia." A legal guardian was appointed for İnan Kıraç by the court.

TOOK İNAN KIRAÇ TO ANTALYA

Most recently, Emine Alangoya, who did not allow nurses from Koç Hospital into the house, took İnan Kıraç first to Bodrum and then to Antalya. Following all these developments, İnan Kıraç's US-based businessman cousin Ahmet Hür Güreralp appeared before the public for the first time to speak out.

Ahmet Hür Güreralp is a former professional basketball player who also worked within Koç Holding for 8 years. He later settled in the US to start his own business and has been living there for 36 years. He and İnan Kıraç are still like children... He refers to him as "my brother İnan."

BONDS WITH İNAN KIRAÇ NEVER BROKEN

His memories of the past include times when İnan Kıraç would stay at their home during summer holidays while attending Galatasaray High School, and the pleasant times they spent together.

Despite living in America for 36 years, Ahmet Hür Güreralp has never lost touch with İnan Kıraç.

Their bond is so strong that he is even a member of the board of trustees of the İnan Kıraç Foundation.

Ahmet Hür Güreralp, who came to Turkey because he was concerned about the developments following İnan Kıraç's marriage to Emine Alangoya, will also file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office regarding this matter in the coming days.

TURNED INTO A HORROR MOVIE

76-year-old Ahmet Hür Güreralp states that nothing has been the same since Emine Alangoya entered İnan Kıraç's life.

He alleges that since that day, Emine Alangoya has cut off contact with everyone in İnan Kıraç's inner circle, fired former employees, and isolated İnan Kıraç by interfering in every aspect of his life.

Stating that he has tried to meet with İnan Kıraç many times but has constantly faced obstacles from Emine Alangoya, Ahmet Hür Güreralp says, "She has distanced my beloved brother from all his loved ones and fired the employees who were loyal to him. Everything has turned into a horror movie."

CRACKED THE SAFE AT KIRAÇA HOLDING

Stating that the nurses brought from Koç Hospital for İnan Kıraç's treatment were not allowed into the house and that he was taken to Antalya by Emine Alangoya, Ahmet Hür Güreralp said, "She disregards his health problems."

Ahmet Hür Güreralp, who stated that during his 7-8 visits to Turkey for business or family visits since 2022, he observed that the nurses and caregivers he had known for years were no longer with him and that new people had been brought in, said, "On one visit, I was not allowed to see him based on instructions from Ms. Emine. When I was allowed to see him upon my insistence, the person I encountered was not the İnan Kıraç I knew; he was using expressions I had never heard before and could not establish meaningful communication. This situation worried me deeply. When I asked him what medication he was taking, he said, 'Ms. Emine handles my medication, ask her.'"

Stating that he will apply to the prosecutor's office to intervene in İnan Kıraç's case, Ahmet Hür Güreralp alleges, "Last Sunday, Emine Alangoya emptied one of the 2 safes at Kıraça Holding together with M.S., who used to work at the holding."
